The answer is clear looking at this new top-sided, 6-in-line headstock from the brand founded by the world-renowned Guitarist and Gear Guru. Ola talks about the development, “We thought we’d never do this, but never say never!!!, once I saw and played the first sample, I knew it would be cool to offer this variation that is a bit more classic looking. The new headstock combined with fretboard markers and these spectacular gloss finishes make me proud to give our customers a refreshing new style choice”.

The new series types will be available in both SR (Set-Thru) and SBR (bolt-on) configurations with three metallic gloss finish models to start this exciting new assortment.

Marcus has been a vital part of the band’s evolution into one of the most revered metal groups in the world. With his precise playing and melodic sensibilities, Siepen has contributed to Blind Guardian’s distinctive sound, which blends epic storytelling with intricate guitar work. SOLAR GUITARS Announces New Signature Model for Kirk Windstein of Crowbar and Down

Kirk Windstein has been a staple of the American Metal scene since 1989. Hailing from New Orleans, he has played in a number of influential and successful bands, most notably his own band Crowbar and as a founding member of the heavy metal supergroup, Down.

After Kirk using Solar Guitars over the last few years, Solar Guitars is proud to introduce Kirk’s Signature sophomore Model, the X1.6KW. Simplicity equals power to handle Kirk’s requirements for Crowbar and Down with a tried and true EMG81/85 combination to get it done. Style points are registered with a custom fleur-de-lis 12th fret inlay and special block inlays on the side of the fretboard offering unmatched stage visibility, even in the darkest environments.

SOLAR GUITARS Fires Up Another One with New PYRO ROJO

Solar Guitars is continually expanding its new CHOP SHOP production of guitars finished and assembled at their main facility in Spain. The 2^nd release of 2024 is a fiery red version of the already popular “PYRO” finish. The finish starts with the ancient art of torching hardwood (Shou Sugi Ban) to achieve greater strength and stunning visual effects from the wood grain. The process is extensive; the body and headstock are meticulously burned by hand along with the logo applied with actual fire heated brand stamp. After the burning phases, the body and headstock are sanded clean then tinted fire red before poly sealer coats are applied. Once dry, assembly commences with the roasted maple 3-piece neck fitted with Solar locking tuners, Floyd Rose installation, Solar and Duncan Solar pickups, electronics wiring, switchcraft jack and copper shielding before strings strung up with final set-up by our experienced luthiers to be ready for top level professional stage or studio use. MCAS Custom fitted ABS molded TSA flight-ready case is included along with a Certificate of Authenticity hand signed by Ola and the luthier that assembled each guitar.

Solar Guitars Introduces the Ultimate in Metal – The Chrome Canibalismo

Solar Guitars continues to expand its new CHOP SHOP production series of guitars finished and assembled at their main facility in Spain. The 1st new release for 2024, the “Chrome Canibalismo” is Pure Metal! The finish is created from a unique material that is made from actual metal and involves a 5-stage process to cover the body, then after the base metal coat is completed, the Solar signature Canibalismo splatter is applied. This special material then needs considerable time to cure and harden into its final ‘Metallized” form. Being metal, over time the finish will oxidize so each specific guitar ages with its own particular look and patina to this innovative instrument.

The 3rd release, the “Desert Rose” is inspired by the natural phenomenon of the same name created by the extreme wind and sand in the world’s most foreboding desert environments. Solar Guitars founder, Ola Englund explains, “It’s a process of 4 basic ingredients, WOOD, FIRE, WIND & SAND. The coolest part is the texture!, the sand rips through the charred grain and makes something totally unique.”

SVART is the New BLACK

Solar Guitars, the brand founded by world renowned Guitarist and Gear Guru Ola Englund has redefined the most popular guitar color. Ola explains, “Svart is the new Black!, and with the black on black 12^th fret insignia and custom carved headstock logo, there is none more black!.” The first model, AB6H SVART is fourth installment from the company’s ‘Made in Europe’ offering that was introduced earlier this year. The difference being with this AB6H SVART is that it is the first ‘Standard’ model, coming in priced at 1999, which is a supreme value for a European instrument hand-crafted by expert luthiers in France.
